A Legal Cheek careers event considers the future impact of lawtech on the industry. Speaker Michael O’Donoghue explained that new technology will simply help to “reduce the time spent on repetitive and routine and allows junior lawyers to do better work and progress quicker,” whilst Radcliffe’s Shantanu Majumdar added that at the moment barristers are often the “beneficiaries of lawtech rather than drivers,” but they still need to understand what it can do and how it might help their clients.
