Anders Spile, a legaltech and innovation consultant advising law firms, writes on the concept of client-centrism and its importance in the sector. He says that with globalization and new digital technologies improving customers’ access to information as well as their ability to find competitor firms, clients now want more from law firms and “do not care about the internal productivity improvement of law firms if it does not influence the legal products they consume.” He urges firms to invest in external innovation strategies and engage in collaborative ecosystems, among other measures, in order to properly prepare for the future of the industry.
