London-based SeedLegals has secured $4m through its Series A funding round, which was led by venture capital firm Index Ventures with participation from Kima Ventures, The Family and existing investor Seedcamp. Founded in 2017, SeedLegals reported that 7,000 startups have signed up for the platform to manage the entire fundraising process and all related legal documents. It also revealed around 8% of all early-stage UK funding rounds are now done on SeedLegals, with UK companies creating over 27,000 contracts on its platform last year, saving an estimated £4.5m in legal costs.
